South Korea’s Largest Crypto Exchange Founder Achieves Billionaire Status with $13.6 Billion Deal

Reports from Bloomberg on December 2nd revealed that Song Chi-hyung and Kim Hyoung-nyon, the visionaries behind Dunamu Inc., South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchange, recently finalized a deal to sell the company to Naver Corp.'s fintech arm in an all-stock transaction. This acquisition, valued at $13.6 billion, has propelled Song Chi-hyung into the billionaire club, with a 19% stake in the new entity worth $2.7 billion. Kim Hyoung-nyon, on the other hand, secured a 10% stake valued at $1.4 billion. Both founders have now joined the ranks of the world's wealthiest individuals.
